CoderKit is an AI coding assistant specifically designed for Xcode that integrates with GitHub Copilot and Codeium. It provides an AI autocompletion feature which suggests code possibilities as you type, seeking to eliminate the need for repetitive copy-pasting.
This feature is accessed via either a Codeium or GitHub Copilot subscription. For efficiency, CoderKit allows acceptance or rejection of the autocompletion suggestions through keyboard shortcuts.
It also provides a comfort feature that syncs the color theme of the autocompletion panel with that of Xcode. Although CoderKit is available for free, certain features may require Codeium or GitHub Copilot subscriptions.
The application needs access to folders and accessibility features to function optimally, and assures user data privacy and security by not storing code or sensitive information.
It is noted that while CoderKit is significantly influenced by the open-source community, at present, the tool itself is not open source.
