The global potential of AI in radiology is immense, with the ability to revolutionize techniques from identifying minute irregularities to prioritizing critical cases. However, incorporating AI into existing healthcare structures is a significant challenge. Frequently, AI solutions operate separately, necessitating convoluted integrations and a deep understanding of IT. Moreover, evaluating the effectiveness of AI technologies can be a time and resource-consuming task.
Thus, we introduce Deepc, a radiology AI start-up that developed an AI Operating System called deepcOS to tackle these obstacles. Deepc offers an AI-powered radiography platform and a unified integration platform. The former helps radiology AI providers animate their technologies within healthcare settings. Simultaneously, the latter provides radiologists with an adaptable AI operating system and grants access to over 60 AI solutions to address various clinical indications.
DeepcOS enables healthcare providers to utilize the swift progress in radiology AI. This platform extends accessibility to regulatory-approved AI solutions for over 60 clinical indications without any technical, operational, or financial complications.
DeepcOS’ key features include support for radiologists, allowing them to gauge, deploy, monitor, and construct AI solutions. It enables the amalgamation of results from various Radiology AI technologies into existing HIT infrastructure after one installation. To aid security, it includes data de-identification, encryption, cloud hosting, and strict GDPR compliance. It also allows easy activation of new solutions and resource adaptation according to demand. Deepc also ensures AI safety from inception until implementation.
Deepc’s products include deepcOS, the AI operating system for radiology that simplifies R&D, testing, and production. They also offer deepcOS AI Evaluator, which helps companies assess top AI solutions on their data minus the complication of installation. Then there’s deepcOS Gate, which guarantees the secure flow of data between on-premise healthcare IT systems and the deepcOS AI cloud marketplace.
Their AI-based study prioritization and triage shorten reporting and care provision times by allowing for quick identification and AI-based prioritization of urgent situations. Additionally, the data export at scale function aids in anonymizing and exporting substantial volumes of patient data from clinics for use in model training and research.
Deepc recently completed a €12 million extension round, finalizing its Series A. The round was co-led by Sofinnova Partners and Bertelsmann Investments, along with current partner Winning Mindset Ventures, as well as new investors KHP Ventures and SwissHealth Ventures.
Deepc AI is pioneering an industry-leading, web-based AI software framework for medical diagnostic AI and other digital products, ensuring smooth integration into the clinical workflow in radiology. This will facilitate real-time screening of medical data and improve diagnostic quality and cost-efficiency.
