Harry Potter by Balenciaga: A Simple Guide to Creating Those Trending AI Advertisements

A YouTube creator by the name of ‘demonflyingfox’ has successfully used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate a convincing video advertising global fashion house Balenciaga, which appears to star characters from the Harry Potter films. The video is so authentic-looking, it’s led to confusion among social media users who believe it to be a real advertisement from the luxury brand. Creating these hyper-realistic AI ads is not a quick task, but it’s also not overly complicated. A YouTube account called PromptJungle has put together a step-by-step guide on how to create such an ad.

There are four necessary AI tools: ChatGPT, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, and D-ID. Additionally, you will need a Discord account with the Midjourney Bot installed on any server. The process starts with using ChatGPT to generate character names from the Harry Potter series and having them don Balenciaga outfits in a 1990 fashion show. The desired image of each character is fed to the bot through a detailed description. The bot generates images based on these prompts, which can then be selected and downloaded.

After generating images, the next step is to generate audio using ElevenLabs. This involves selecting an interview video featuring the voice of Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), converting it into mp3 file using a YouTube to MP3 converter, and uploading it to ElevenLabs. You can then write a script for Harry Potter’s voice and generate the audio.

The final step requires visiting D-ID for animating Harry Potter or any other character chosen. This step includes uploading the AI image and picking the option to make the AI character silent or allow it to move and speak. If you want the character to speak, the generated audio from ElevenLabs should be uploaded. After completing the same steps for all other characters, your very own AI-generated ‘Harry Potter x Balenciaga’ ad campaign will be ready.

The entire video can be stitched together using video editing software such as CapCut, a software application developed by TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance. The ‘Balenciaga Harry Potter’ campaign has gained considerable popularity, accumulating nearly 7 million views. The original creator, demonflyingfox, has since developed two more AI-generated videos featuring characters from Breaking Bad and Lord of The Rings, suggesting the potential for more viral AI-generated ads.
