Cinderella Amar, the Managing Partner at Venture Capital Glass Ventures, is a believer in the transformative power of AI and blockchain. Amar began her finance career in traditional fields but soon recognized the breakthrough potential in blockchain and AI, leading her to venture into these fields. Amar was involved in a pioneering project where two French banks executed an agreement completely on a blockchain platform, marking a breakthrough moment for her and easing the process of transitioning to AI and blockchain projects.
She then focused on creating AI chatbots in Hong Kong to improve trading activities. The goal was to make the trading process faster, more efficient and cohesive. Amar revealed that the implementation of a system that consolidated the data into a master data lake massively brought down the time taken to reach decisions from 30 minutes to only 3 seconds. This created a more focused and faster operation.
Amar’s focus has now shifted to Web4. She explains that, while Web3 brought ownership and decentralization experiences to the forefront with NFTs and the concept of the Metaverse, Web4 serves as a bridge for mass adoption of Web3 technologies. It utilizes breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI), specifically GenAI, and does not compete with Web3. Rather, it complements it by enhancing ownership and data utilization.
When asked about the future, Amar cited a startup named Promeet as an example of the possibilities brought by AI, blockchain, and Web4. Promeet’s platform incorporated live streaming with blockchain technology, allowing them to share exclusive content for a small fee which significantly transforms how people engage with content.
The motivation behind founding Glass Ventures, as per Amar, was her genuine passion for technology and the limitless opportunities it presents. She believes that while regulation is crucial, it must not stifle creativity and innovation. The challenge lies in harnessing the potential of web technology while upholding stability and fairness.
When discussing the future of AI, Amar explained that she is particularly excited about the fusion of AI and quantum computing. She envisions an AI personal assistant that can capture and process vast amounts of data and understand and summarize conversations in real-time across different languages. She believes that quantum computing will take AI and blockchain to the next level, breaking all traditional boundaries, allowing potential for unprecedented innovation. She encourages people to embrace quantum computing and the unknown, stating that it will pave the way for limitless innovation.
