The 8th Middle East Banking AI & Analytics Summit will take place on May 8, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This in-person event is crucial for banking and financial service professionals in Saudi Arabia as the nation aims to become a global AI leader by 2030. The summit seeks to encourage AI adoption in Saudi Arabia’s banking sector, in line with the country’s vision, and comes after heavy investments in AI and emerging technologies in the financial and banking space nationwide.

Highlights include the purchase of a considerable quantity of hardware from NVIDIA by Gulf nations, including Saudi Arabia, throughout 2023. Notably, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) acquired about 3,000 of Nvidia’s H100 chips.

The summit will cover key topics including AI’s role in creating a futuristic banking ecosystem, the development of a digitally fluent workforce, open banking, digital transformation strategies, reimagining fraud detection and risk management, ethical use of data, and the application of AI and analytics for the sustainability of the banking sector.

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with regional thought leaders and experts in AI adoption, explore best practices in the implementation of AI, and interface with leaders from various industries including retail and digital banking, fintech, and risk management. There will be live demonstrations from over 15 exhibitors showcasing state-of-the-art solutions in AI, analytics, automation, and digital transformation for the banking sector.

More than 50 speakers from various Saudi Arabian banks and financial institutions will feature at the summit. Confirmed speakers include individuals from Vision Bank, Abdul Latif Jameel United Finance, Al Rajhi Bank, Bank Aljazira, Riyad Bank, and Banque Saudi Fransi.
