Daily AI has announced its support for the 14th annual City Week conference, slated to take place in central London on May 20-21, 2024. Organized in partnership with the UK Government, the City of London Corporation, TheCityUK, and UK Finance, this conference brings together over 1,000 of the world’s top decision-makers in the financial industry to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities related to next-generation technology, including AI.
City Week 2024 serves as an invaluable platform for discussions on how AI continues to catalyze transformations in financial services. With financial institutions gradually optimistic about generative AI’s potential to reshape their operational processes, the timing of the conference is relevant. Previously, the Bank of England has discussed generative AI, while multinational corporations like Mastercard have shown interest in leveraging it.
The two-day event consists of four summits each centered around individual themes: The International Capital Markets Leaders’ Summit and The Climate Change and Natural Capital Leaders’ Summit on Day One (May 20), followed by The Tokenisation and Digital Assets Leaders’ Summit and The AI in Financial Services Leaders’ Summit on Day Two (May 21).
Event highlights include thought-provoking sessions, networking events, and focused discussions on AI regulation, use cases, next-generation AI models, and data management among others. The AI in Financial Services Leaders’ Summit will focus specifically on the transformative potential of AI in the financial sector.
Keynote speakers such as Saqib Bhatti MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology, and Randall Kroszner, Member of the Financial Policy Committee, Bank of England, will offer insights into AI adoption and regulation. Panel discussions featuring experts from renowned financial institutions will explore various topics pertaining to generative AI and new AI models.
The conference will also delve into the regulatory perspectives of AI in financial services, featuring representatives from the Bank of England, Competition and Markets Authority, European Parliament, and the Federal Department of Finance from Switzerland.
City Week 2024 aims to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI in financial services. More than 1,000 senior decision-makers from across the globe are expected to attend, providing a rich networking environment. The event is part of a broader dialogue about the vast and ever-evolving potential of AI and how it can positively impact various industries, especially the world of finance.
